Sprint recruits aggressively for engineers on the KU campus - largely because Lawrence is right in the backyard of their Overland Park operational headquarters. They invited me to their campus for an on-site interview but I declined once I knew I had excellent prospects with several engineering firms. It looks like I made the right decision.

I find it very hard to believe that Sprint is going to become a leader in the telcom industry if it continues to lay off workers. It is going to be very hard for them to attract new talent if they maintain a reputation for downsizing their staff - which is one of the reasons I avoided seeking a position with either Sprint or a certain engineering firm.
